Schärdinger Yogurts Impress in Major VKI Test – Test Victory for Schärdinger Bergbauern Natur Joghurt

Wels, November 27, 2025: The Austrian Consumer Information Association (VKI) tested numerous products available on the Austrian market in its latest large-scale natural yogurt test – with outstanding results for Schärdinger: Schärdinger Natur Joghurt achieved two podium placements, and Schärdinger Bergbauern Natur Joghurt was even named test winner in the yogurt category with 3.2–4% fat.

A total of 38 products were tested. These were evaluated through blind tastings by both experts and consumers. In addition, the assessment also considered how consumer-friendly the product labeling is. Among many submissions, Schärdinger stood out with its high-quality products.

Natural yogurt is one of the most popular and versatile dairy products: whether enjoyed plain, refined with fruit, or used as a creamy base for salad dressings – it offers enjoyment in many forms and is particularly recommended due to its nutritional benefits.

A key quality feature is the AMA quality seal, which all Schärdinger products carry. It guarantees that the milk used comes exclusively from animals raised on Austrian farms – milked in Austria and processed in Austrian dairies. The seal is also associated with strict criteria, including significantly higher requirements for sensory quality. Products bearing the AMA quality seal “Tierhaltung Plus” also meet additional animal welfare standards, such as increased freedom of movement and higher requirements for animal housing and care.
